President and Leaders Extend Heartfelt Wishes on Civil Service Day: सिविल सेवा दिवस हर साल 21 अप्रैल को मनाया जाता है ताकि सिविल सेवकों की नागरिकों के प्रति सेवा और समर्पण को दोहराया जा सके। किसी भी देश के व्यवस्थित और सुचारू ढंग से काम करने के पीछे सिविल सेवकों का बहुत बड़ा हाथ होता है। यह दिन 21 अप्रैल को इसलिए मनाया जाता है क्योंकि 21 अप्रैल, 1947 में भारत के पहले गृह मंत्री सरदार वल्लभभाई पटेल ने आजाद भारत के पहले सिविल सेवा बैच को संबोधित किया था। उन्होंने अपने भाषण में सिविल सेवकों को "भारत का स्टील फ्रेम" कहा था। पहली बार इस दिन का आयोजन 21 अप्रैल, 2006 को किया गया। भारत की राजधानी नई दिल्ली में सिविल सेवकों को पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया जाता है।
